Heat, drain and mix
Before you assume that I am familiar with recipes and that I cook everyday, I am here to say that you are wrong. I can cook the basic simple meals and I've tried cooking complicated meals that take the entire day but cooking next to my husband makes me want to curl up and hide in the pantry. My husband is the undercover chef and I am so darn lucky for that.
Today was one of those days when Jasper and I had a late lunch. By 6:00 PM we weren't hungry but it was time to feed Ella.
So I made her spaghetti. The funny thing about cooking for a kid is how particular they are. If I were to put the meat sauce on top like normal, it wouldn't fly. Instead, I need to drain the angel hair pasta and mix it with parmesan cheese.
Then, I added the meat sauce.
Mixed it up.
It wouldn't be any fun if she can't add more cheese on her own.
Now, that is how you satisfy a kids tummy.
